3 Night Swiss Alps Alpine Tour 

Our Six Passes Alpine Tour takes you on a 2-day driving tour featuring the greatest mountain passes anywhere in the Swiss Alps.  This 3-night trip starts in Zurich and includes two full days of driving on the best mountain roads in Switzerland. The first tour takes you into the Alps, first via the small Mount Albis, then via the scenic shores of Lake Luzern, and into the Alps.  You then cross the spectacular Susten + Grimsel + 007 Furka, spending an evening in the Alpine resort of Andermatt. Tour 2 takes you back to Zurich via the Gotthard + Nufenen + Grimsel.  Quite simply there is nowhere else in Europe if indeed the world that can offer 5 unique Cat 1 (2000M+) alpine passes in such a concentrated region.  In short, this trip is an alpine pass paradise.  The only dilemma? Which car to take with you?

The high altitude nature of this tour means there is quite a narrow season, from mid-June till mid-October each year.

6 Passes Swiss Tour - Grimsel, Susten and Furka Passes

Day 1 - Arrive into Zurich

Arrive at Zurich and check into the 4 Star B2 Boutique Spa Hotel in Zurich's trendy lakeside district. Later, spend the afternoon exploring the cafes and boutiques of Zurich's old town, or take a stroll along the world`s famous shopping street Bahnhofstrasse.

Spend an evening in the city, take in a show, visit one of the coolest clubs in Zurich with VIP entry, or spend a more relaxed and romantic evening at the latest must dine location, the Terrasse Restaurant and Lounge Bar.

Overnight: 4 Star Superior B2 Hotel & Spa

Day 2 - First Drive into the Central Swiss Alps - Susten + Grimsel + 007 Furka Passes

Car delivered to hotel and detailed walkthrough of the car, the roadbook, and importantly the GPS unit that is pre programmed with your scenic driving route, and all recommended stops, including stops for sights, lunch and coffees - you are now all set.  

You first drive will be to Andermatt, set in the heart of the central Swiss Alps. First, take a scenic run along the shores of Lake Zurich, before crossing the deserted Buchernegg Pass, and down to Lake Lucerne - stop for a coffee at the town of Vitznau. Later continue south onto the heart of the Alps, crossing the spectacular Susten Pass carved into the granite like sides of the valley and breathtaking to drive.

After a visit to the Stein Glacier, Lunch is taken at the end of the Pass. Now continue onto the Grimsel Pass, then follow the 007 Furka Pass, past the Rhone Glacier, and down to the resort of Andermatt for the evening.

Day 3 - Return to Zurich - Gotthard + Nuffenen + Grimsel Passes

Your return journey back to Zurich takes you back into the heart of the central Swiss Alps, where you will head south, crossing the beautiful Gotthard Pass, including the historic Tremola stretch

Next, cross what is our favorite pass in Switzerland, the often overlooked and deserted Nufenen.

From here, re-cross Grimsel, taking lunch at the summit at the Grimsel Hospiz, before continuing your journey north and back to Zurich where the tour finishes.

Day 4 - Final day at Leisure in Zurich

Spend a final day in Zurich, explore the old town, take a boat out on the lake, or try some shopping along with the world-famous Bahnhofstrasse.
