How to Book

1. Decide on the break you are interested in, then using the booking enquiry page, adjust car and room specifications as required.
2. The enquiry will then be submitted to us and we will automatically send you a confirmation e-mail with the details of the requested break.
3. We will then confirm availability and call you back within 24 hours to discuss with you your particular request, just to ensure all details are as expected.
4. At this stage, we will also confirm how you wish to pay any deposit due, by bank transfer, or by credit card.
5. Once the break details are finalized, we will then hold the request for 48 hours and at the same time send you through a final booking confirmation, with updated details and price, where applicable.
6. Where you have selected to pay your deposit by Credit Card, details can be completed directly in the email via a PayGate 128-bit SSL secure encrypted connection. Where you have agreed to pay by bank transfer, this transfer needs to be initiated separately.
7. Upon receiving the booking form and confirming deposit has been received OK, we will send you a confirmation and invoice.
8. The confirmation and invoice will state the balance still due to Ultimate Drives and the date by which this payment must reach us 8 weeks prior to departure. No further reminder will be issued unless specifically requested.
9. If you are booking within 8 weeks of departure we will require the full payment with the booking form.
10. Please note there is a 2% surcharge for payments by credit card (Visa/Mastercard) to cover our handling costs.

Booking Details

Our driving breaks are generally 3 nights 4 days in duration and can be booked to start on any day of your choice (subject to availability).

We will do our utmost to put together a complete package to suit your needs. Please do not hesitate to call to discuss your options at a budget and level to suit you. We would be delighted to tailor make a break for you, which can even include turning a short break into a longer stay, where for example you only require the car for the first 2 or 3 days.

Price Includes

Prices are in pounds per break and include:

Overnight accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis at the hotel (s) of your choice, detailed break itinery, with pre programmed satellite navigation details, city / shopping guide to the Lindenhoff old town district of Zurich, where you will spend your first evening.

Where you are flying and hiring a car, the price also includes:

Private transfer from Zurich airport to your arrival hotel, The Widder Hotel. Hire of the car of your choice, full insurances, reduced loss / theft damage liability insurance, plus the required inclusive kilometers to completed the specific drive. Where you exceed these kilometers you will be charged an additional price per kilometer, in accordance with the specific car chosen. Please see more details in the Our Cars section.

What is Not Included?

Travel and medical insurance, fuel for the car, lunch and evening meals. Any excursions requested are also booked and charged in addition to the break price.

Booking Conditions

All reservations must be made on the official booking form, and this form, subject to these booking conditions, shall constitute the basis of the contract between you (the Traveler) and us (Apex Leisure GmbH, Switzerland). The contract shall exist when the booking form has been received by us (along with the relevant payment) and a Confirmation and Invoice has been sent to you by us.

Break

This agreement is made between Apex Leisure GmbH and the Traveler on the basis that the break as specified in the Booking Form attached hereto (the 'Booking Form') (the 'Break') is to be taken by the Traveler and guests for a period as defined in the attached Booking Form (the 'Hire Period'). The price of the Break is as specified in the Booking Form (the 'Full Payment'). The deposit as specified in the Schedule (the 'Deposit') should accompany all bookings. The balance of the Break Price must be paid at least 8 weeks before the beginning of the Break. If the balance of the Break Price is not received within this period then the deposit may be forfeited and the break cancelled at the sole discretion of Apex Leisure Group GmbH. If bookings are made 8 weeks or less in advance of the Hire Period the whole of the Break Price must be paid on booking.

Car Hire

Car Hire Minimum age: 21-23-25-30 years as per type and model of vehicle shown in the brochure.

Driving license: full current driving license valid since one year for cat. City Car, and 2 years for the other categories.

Additional driver: Same conditions for an additional driver approved by Apex at the time of the rental: additional fee of CHF 5 per day. Minimal rental duration: one day = 24 hours. After 3 extra hours, a full day will be charged.

Petrol: not included.

Payment conditions: One or two authorised credit cards as per vehicle model and category as shown in the brochure, these will be swiped for deductible insurances at the time the car is delivered at the car agreement is signed.

Insurances:

1. Unlimited Third-Party liability, with a deductible amount CHF 500 in case of accident involving the responsibility of the renter.
2. PAI: Personal Accident Insurance for driver and passenger: CHF 5 per day.
3. LTDDR (Loss, Theft and Damage Deductible): Reduced Loss, Theft and Damage insurances are included in the cost of the rental with a deductible amount as per the website under Maximum Loss Theft & Damage Deductible.
4. The driver is held liable up to the total value of the vehicle if the car is damaged or stolen intentionally or by gross negligence.
5. Insurance doesn’t cover: damages caused by careless use of the car: wheels, hub-cubs, tyres, radio K7, GPS, antenna, upholstery, external mirrors, rims, convertible soft-top, gear-box, clutch etc.
6. In case of accident or mechanical problems, involving the responsibility of the driver, he will be charged for a minimum of 5 days (10 days for exceptional cars), up to the time required for the final repair (daily rate 1-3 days).

Description

Every effort is made to ensure that the break complies with the description given to the Traveler at the time of booking. However Apex Leisure Group GmbH cannot accept any liability for any changes or inaccuracies that occur between the time of the booking and the commencement of the Hire Period.

Liability

The Traveler undertakes the break entirely at their own risk and Apex Leisure Group GmbH cannot be responsible for any injuries caused to the Traveler, his/her guests or any third parties. In addition, Apex Leisure Group GmbH will not be liable to compensate the Traveler for any damage or loss of enjoyment in respect of the Traveler's Break if the failure in the enjoyment was the Traveler's fault, or could have been reasonably foreseen. Apex Leisure Group GmbH's liability in any event for any damage or loss (including both direct and indirect loss of enjoyment) will not in any event be greater than the Break Price.

Cancellation

If the Traveler wishes to cancel his/her Break he/she must notify Apex Leisure Group GmbH in writing (email is acceptable). Such a cancellation will incur administration costs on the part of Apex Leisure Group GmbH and Apex Leisure Group GmbH may not be able to resell the break. As such the following cancellation charges will apply:

Complaints

In the unlikely event of a complaint about the property, this should be reported to Apex Leisure Group GmbH within three days of arrival and confirmed in writing in a letter posted to Apex Leisure Group GmbH within one week of arrival. Failure to do this will result in Apex Leisure Group GmbH being unable to deal with the complaint. Complaints cannot be accepted after a Traveler has returned home and there has been no opportunity to put matters right during the Hire Period.

Entire Agreement

This agreement (together with the documents referred to herein):

1. constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter of this agreement; and
2. supersedes and extinguishes any prior drafts, agreements and undertakings between the parties relating to such subject matter.

Rights of Third Parties

A person who is not a party to this agreement has no rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce, or to enjoy the benefit of, any provision of this agreement.

Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland and the parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Swiss courts.

Acceptance

As part of Apex Leisure Group GmbH's acceptance of the booking, the Traveler warrants to Apex Leisure Group GmbH that all information provided to Apex Leisure Group GmbH is correct and that the Traveler is aged 18 years or over.
