Nurburgring & Moselle River Valley - 6 Days

Few places on earth are better known across the automotive community than the Nurburgring. It has become the proving ground for all new performance vehicles, and as such, it sits high on many bucket lists as the best circuit in the world. This tour includes 6 laps of the Nurburgring in a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 with our partners at RSR Nurburg to help you check it off your list! But that's not all. 

After your track experience is over, there are 3 more days of touring through this beautiful region of SW Germany in a road-ready GT4. Wind through the Reisling vineyards of the Moselle River Valley to spend a night in the wealthiest country in the world. Then climb the small mountain passes of the Vosges Mountains, and finally zoom under the evergreen treetops of the Black Forest.

These areas have a vibrant history, starting with the Roman development of the area over 2000 years ago. More recently, medieval conflicts left beautiful castles in ruins, and French WWII strongholds were built to hold the Maginot Line. Include any exciting historical stops along the route that suit your fancy, and contrast them with the ultra-modern Porsche Museum and Factory visit on the final day.

Note: other track day cars are available on request, including various Porsche 911 models, even up to the insane 992 GT3 RS - if you have a particular track car you are interested in combining with the trip, please just let us know

Note 2: The trip can be extended by 1 day to include track time on Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps! If you are interested in adding this package, please let us know right away as track days are very limited at this circuit.

Nurburgring and Moselle River Valley

Day 1 - Arrival & Sightseeing in Frankfurt

Arrive at the International Airport of Frankfurt and transfer to your hotel in the center of this modern, busy city.

Overnight Hotel: 5-Star Westin Grand Frankfurt

Day 2 - Direct to the RING or Scenic Rhineland Drive and Track Time

In the morning, your car of choice will be delivered and the tour will officially begin with a drive directly to the Ring or a short scenic drive through the forests and vineyards of Hesse and Rhineland. The direct drive includes a few bits of de-restricted autobahn for you to get to know your car at the upper limit. At just 2 hours long, this leaves plenty of time and energy for your afternoon/evening track session. *Included with this tour package are 6 laps of the Nurburgring in a **718 Cayman GT4. This is the maximum number of laps allowed on the frequent "Evening" tourist days. It is possible to add laps and/or upgrade the car if desired - subject to availability.

Day 3 - Drive 2: Moselle River Valley to Luxembourg

After your day at the Ring, drive 2 takes you into the romantic Moselle River Valley, home to some of the best Rieslings in the world. Wind along the river bank looking up at the medieval castles dotting the rolling green hills. The day ends in the capitol city of the wealthiest country in the world, Luxembourg. Along the way, cross Germany's second-highest bridge, have lunch at a riverside castle, and stop in beautiful towns like Bernkastel-Kues and Traben-Tarbauch where you can visit castle ruins, wine cellars, old town squares, and more.

Day 4 - Drive 3: Through the Vosges Mountains to Baden-Baden

Day 5 - Drive 4: The Black Forest, Porsche Museum and Heidelberg

The final drive perfectly combines stunning natural landscapes, excellent driving roads, historical landmarks, and modern masterpieces by first whisking you through the Black Forest to the Porsche facilities in Stuttgart. Beginning on Route 500 Hochstrasse, follow this highly regarded driving road as it sweeps along the shoulders of the Schwarzwald hills to a coffee break at the scenic Mummelsee Lake. Then after a visit to the Porsche Museum and lunch at the Christophorus Restaurant, follow the Neckar River to Heidelberg for a visit to the 16th-century castle and medieval stone bridge. Finally, hop on the autobahn for a 1-hour cruise back into Frankfurt where the tour ends.

Day 6 – Final Day in the City of Frankfurt & Departure

You will spend a final day in the delightful city of Frankfurt with a chance to explore the town, parks, and shopping quarter before departing for your own onward plans.

*When planning the trip, we need to ensure that the travel dates align with the days the Nurburgring track is open to the public, therefore, when inquiring, if you do have a range of dates available to travel, please let us know

**To get a full appreciation of the circuit, the skill of professional drivers, and the true track performance capability of a Porsche, we recommend adding at least 1 "taxi lap" in something like the 992 Porsche Manthey GT3 - subject to availability.

***Note that driving on the track in your Ultimate Drives road rental car is strictly prohibited and will result in significant fines. The 718 Cayman GT4 mentioned is a separate, track-specific rental.
