Andorra & The Pyrenees Luxury Driving Tour

From Barcelona, you'll zip down to the coast on a winding forest road in the Massís de Cadiretes Reserve. You'll take twisting roads through the forested lower Pyrenees on your way towards the French border. Experience thrilling mountain driving, climbing deeper into the Pyrenees, eventually crossing back into Spain where you'll take on a series of 5 stunning mountain passes. The final pass will take you directly into the Andorran ski town of Soldeu, where you will stay two nights. Enjoy some time in isolated Andorra before making your way back to Barcelona through rural low mountain slopes, forests, and high grasslands. Barcelona is one of the most exciting cities to visit in all of Europe, and there is SO much to see. We recommend you make the most of this luxury road trip by adding a night or two in Barcelona before getting back to reality.
Andorra & The Pyrenees Luxury Driving Tour
Day 1 - Arrive in Barcelona
Arrive in Barcelona and spend the rest of your day in the city for some rich foods and sightseeing after checking in to your hotel. Take in the unique architecture and visit one of the beautiful beaches before settling in for the night.

Day 2 - Drive 1: Barcelona Up the Coast
Your car will be delivered to your hotel in the morning, but the first drive is really short, so you'll have plenty of time for the beach or even 9 holes of golf at your evening hotel! You'll start on the highway, but shortly you'll zip down to the coast on a winding forest road in the Massís de Cadiretes Reserve, known for its scenic roads along the sea and dozens of picturesque beaches tucked into the rocky coastline. Stop for a coffee or lunch at the coast before following the sea road, and then turn back inland for the final short leg to your hotel for the night - a Leading Hotel of the World situated on one of Europe's top 10 golf courses.

Day 3 - Drive 2: Catalonian Coast
On Day 3, you'll first take a twisting road through the forested lower Pyrenees, and then you'll blast across a rural valley towards the French border. Right at this most northeastern corner of Spain, you have the option to take a detour out to the Far del Cap de Creus lighthouse for lunch with uninterrupted views of the Med. After lunch, you'll cruise north along the coast all the way into France. Finally, loop back around into Spain to your hotel for the night, another amazing 5-star golf resort.

Day 4 - Drive 3: Pyrenees Passes to Andorra
The thrilling mountain driving begins almost immediately after leaving the hotel on Day 4. The road climbs and turns its way deeper into the Pyrenees, eventually crossing back to France and joining the fantastic D115 - Col d'Ares. After passing through the shadow of Canigo peak, you will re-enter Spain and later you'll take on a series of 5 mountain passes: Coll de la Merolla, Coll de la Creueta, a climbing portion of the N-260 (nicknamed the Pyrenees Axis), Coll de Pimorent, and finally, Coll de Envalira. This final pass will take you directly past Circuit Andorra, the highest permanent race track in the world. The route will put you directly into the Andorran ski town of Soldeu where you will stay for the next two nights.

Day 5 – Drive 4: Andorra Loop (OR Optional Down Day)
Day 4 is totally up to you. On one hand, you may want to spend this day enjoying the hotel amenities, world-class spa, and gourmet food. On the other, you may want to get out to explore the surrounding mountains. Visit the Circuit Andorra for some sky-high kart racing, hike one of the countless nearby trails, do some shopping, or get back into the car and hit some twisty roads. We recommend driving up to the top of Coll de Cabus. After the descent, turn to the south toward Andorra la Vella. Next is a stretch of 40 switchbacks all in a row that create a small 8 loop from the town of Aixovall, then just a quick drive back to your hotel.

Day 6 – Drive 5: Through the Mountains to Barcelona
This final drive starts by following the La Valera River out of Andorra through the valley with the high Pyrenees peaks towering up on both sides. Next is Coll de la Trava and Coll de Port, one of the best driving stretches and hidden gems in all of Spain. These will bring you to the stunning blue La Llosa del Cavall reservoir. After lunch, you'll take Coll de Jouet, winding through rural low mountain slopes, forests, and high grasslands. Along the way, you'll have the option to visit the immense dam holding back up to 115 TRILLION TONS of water. Then, it's a straight shot back to your hotel in Barcelona on the highway and a few small bits of country road.

Day 7 – Explore Barcelona & Departure
Barcelona is one of the most exciting cities to visit in all of Europe. From its top tier La Liga football team FC Barcelona, to its many Michelin Star restaurants, and from its wild architecture to to is sparkling beaches, there is SO much to see. Visitors could easily fill a week with constant activities and sightseeing. Because of this, we recommend adding a night or two on to the end of your tour before heading home.
