Ultimate Drives – Terms & Conditions (2025 Edition)

By booking a tour with Ultimate Drives, you are deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions outlined below. These ensure both parties are aware of their rights, obligations and expectations during the tour experience.
1. BOOKINGS & PAYMENTS
A 20% deposit is required to secure your booking. The balance is due six weeks (42 days) before the start date of your tour.
For bookings made less than six weeks before departure, the full amount is payable immediately.
All payments are to be made by bank transfer or credit card in Euros or GBP, as specified on your proposal.
2. WHAT’S INCLUDED
Unless otherwise stated in your personalised proposal, your package includes:
Detailed eRoadbook, including maps, route notes and dining/hotel recommendations
Hotel accommodation, including breakfast (usually 4* or 5*)
Supercar rental as outlined in your proposal
Pre-tour video walkthrough briefing, accessed via the eRoadbook
Airport pick-up transfer on arrival day, where specified
24/7 remote support throughout the tour
3. NOT INCLUDED
The following items are not included unless expressly mentioned in your booking proposal:
Flights or transport to/from the start and end points
Fuel, tolls, or parking costs
Meals (unless included in proposal)
Personal travel insurance
Optional excursions or activities not listed in the confirmed itinerary
4. DRIVER REQUIREMENTS
The minimum age for drivers is 21. For certain vehicles, the minimum age is 25 or 28.
A full, valid driving licence held for at least two years is required.
Drivers must not have any major driving convictions.
An international driving permit may be required, depending on your country of origin and tour location.
A credit card pre-authorisation is required 48 hours before the rental, ranging from €3,500 to €15,000, depending on vehicle and location. This is a pre-authorisation only (not a charge).
Details of driver requirements and deposits will be clearly specified in your proposal.
5. VEHICLE USE & SUBSTITUTIONS
All vehicles are provided with insurance and mileage allowances as stated in your proposal.
Customers are responsible for returning vehicles in the same condition in which they were received.
If a vehicle becomes unavailable due to mechanical failure or unforeseen circumstances, we will endeavour to provide a replacement vehicle of similar class or specification, though an identical model cannot be guaranteed.
Any traffic fines, damage excess or misuse of the vehicle will be the responsibility of the customer, and may be deducted from the security deposit.
6. TRAVEL INSURANCE
We strongly recommend that all participants obtain comprehensive travel insurance, covering (at a minimum):
Cancellation or curtailment
Sickness, hospitalisation or medical repatriation
Personal accident and injury
Vehicle rental excess protection
Additionally, we encourage all clients to pay for their trip using a credit card, as some card providers offer travel-related protections. Please consult your provider for specific coverage details.
7. CANCELLATIONS
All cancellations must be made in writing via email.
Cancellation charges are as follows:
More than 42 days before tour start: 20% deposit forfeited
41–15 days: 50% of the total tour cost
14 days or less: 100% of the total tour cost
No refunds will be provided for missed activities or early departures once the tour has commenced.
8. FORCE MAJEURE
We are not liable for any failure to perform our obligations where such failure is due to events beyond our reasonable control. These may include (but are not limited to):
Natural disasters (e.g. floods, earthquakes)
Pandemic or epidemic outbreaks
War, civil unrest, strikes or industrial disputes
Governmental or regulatory actions
Road closures, adverse weather or breakdowns affecting vehicle availability
Where possible, we will offer suitable alternatives, defer your booking, or provide credit for future use.
9. CHANGES BY THE CUSTOMER
Minor amendments to your booking (e.g. hotel upgrades or date changes) may be accommodated up to 21 days before departure, subject to availability.
Additional charges may apply depending on the nature of the change.
10. CHANGES BY ULTIMATE DRIVES
We reserve the right to make minor modifications to the itinerary or vehicle allocation when necessary. In the unlikely event of a major change, we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss suitable alternatives.
11. COMPLAINTS & DISPUTES
If you encounter an issue during the tour, please inform us immediately, so we can resolve it on the spot.
If the matter remains unresolved, please submit your complaint in writing within seven (7) days of the tour ending.
We aim to respond to all complaints within 14 days.
12. LIABILITY
Ultimate Drives acts as an agent for car rental companies and accommodation providers and cannot accept responsibility for acts or omissions of third parties.
Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for the booking and does not extend to indirect losses or expenses.
Customers accept that participation in driving activities involves some inherent risk.
13. FINANCIAL PROTECTION
Ultimate Drives operates under Swiss law and is based in Switzerland. While Swiss regulations do not require bonding or membership in a financial protection scheme, we maintain operational safeguards to protect your booking.
Please ensure you take out personal insurance for added protection.
14. GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by Swiss law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zürich, Switzerland.
15. PRIVACY & DATA
We only collect personal data necessary for the delivery of your tour and do not share data with third parties except where required for accommodation or vehicle rental purposes. Full details can be found in our Privacy Policy.
