Porsche European Delivery - Black Forest Tour

Our Black Forest & Stelvio Tour is perfect when you are interested in making a shorter drive loop but then perhaps have other plans for your time in Europe after the drive. After collecting your car from Porsche, you will make a scenic drive west through the heart of the forest, through picture-postcard Bavarian villages to the spa town of Baden-Baden for an evening. Next, jump on a wonderful (recently-opened) 4-lane stretch of Autobahn, giving you a chance to explore the car's Vmax before cutting back into the heart of the forest. Continue your journey into Switzerland via the Rhine, and spend an evening in the beautiful city of Zurich. For your third drive, head back through the forest, taking a different route along the glacial lakes and the highest waterfall in Germany, then back to Baden-Baden for a second evening. The final morning, return to Stuttgart via the Autobhan to return your car or continue your onward journey.

Porsche European Delivery - Black Forest Tour

Arrival into Stuttgart

Arrive into Stuttgart and get settled in to your first hotel (provided by Porsche), and we will join you via video call for a tour briefing to review the road book and the specialty navigation links to your pre-planned stops for sights, coffees, lunch and more.

Overnight Hotel: Porsche-Provided Accommodations

Day 1 - Porsche European Delivery

Collect your new Porsche, visit the Porsche Factory, and soak up the entire Porsche Stuttgart experience. Then, we recommend simply plugging the Roomers Baden-Baden hotel into your GPS and drive direct (which should take just over an hour). The Roomers Baden-Baden hotel awaits with an outdoor pool and a bar with a terrace on the rooftop. Also enjoy the spa facilities and gym with views of the Black Forest.

Day 2 - Drive 1: To Zurich through the Western Black Forest

Your next drive takes you along the western extremes of the Black Forest, where you will drive up and over two of the most beautiful mountains in Germany`s Black Forest region, Mounts Kandel and Belchen. Each rises to more than 1300 m and offers stunning (but contrasting) panoramas of the surrounding forest. After lunch, you will continue towards the Rhine, passing through the villages of Todmoos and Todtnau, and skirting the edge of Mount Hochkopf. The final drive to the border (and the Rhine) is along the Wehr River Valley. The valley was carved out during the ice age, and has gorge-like rock formations on either side, so the sound of the car engine reverberating off these walls is a perfect way to complete the run back to the border.

Day 3 - Drive 2: Back to Baden-Baden via the Central Black Forest

Drive 3 takes you back over the Rhine where you cross the border with beautiful castles on either side of the river. Burst into the southern Black Forest with a run up one of the sweeping lower mountain passes, then down to the beautiful Lake Schulesee. Continue driving deeper into the forest around Mount Feldberg (the highest peak in the forest) then up to the town of Triberg. Visit the Triberg Falls, the highest in Germany. Continue your driving tour along several panoramic strasses, then drive to Baden Baden by picking up Route 500 / The Schwarzwald Hochstrasse (probably the greatest "drivers' road" in the Black Forest). Set high above the forest with views down to the Rhine Valley, it's the perfect way to complete the tour.

Day 4 - Return to Stuttgart / Continue Plans

After your second evening in Baden Baden, make the 70-minute drive by Autobahn back to Stuttgart to return your car for shipping, or start the next leg of your great European driving adventure! Perhaps a run to the South of France or Spain...?
