Starting in Venice, this Italian alpine adventure takes you on twisting passes along rivers and up mountainsides to stunning viewpoints of the most iconic Dolomite peaks. Get the full experience in your dream car with dozens of hairpin turns, massive elevation changes, tunnels, and beautiful alpine lakes before heading back to immerse yourself in the rich Venetian culture.
NOTE: It is possible to begin and/or end this tour in Verona if preferred.

Venice & The Italian Tyrol Driving Tour
Day 1 - Arrive in Venice
Arrivals into Venice. Typically fly into Venice airport and get the train or taxi to Piazzale Roma on the Island. From here, it's a 10-minute stroll to your hotel. The hotel is then an easy walk to all the main sights of Venice. River taxis are also possible from Piazzale Roma

Day 2 - Drive 1: Into the Dolomites
The following morning, your car is delivered to Piazzale Roma, where you will be met by one of our team for a full briefing and walkthrough. You will have already been stepped through your eRoadbook by video call, so the phone will be connected to the car's info system, click the first tour, and you are on your way! Begin Drive 1 by following the Arzino River into the mountains on the twisty SP1. Before too long, you'll pass around the stunning Lago di Verzegnis. Across the Tagliamento River, you'll take the Sella di Rioda Pass which offers turns, climbs, and views that will blow you away. After lunch, you'll continue towards Cortina d'Ampezzo, making a short diversion to Lago di Misurina if you wish. This alpine lake is surrounded by some of the most iconic Dolomite Peaks! Finally, zoom down Passo Tre Croci and into the ritzy ski town of Cortina d'Ampezzo for your evening stay.

Day 3 - Drive 2: The Great Dolomites Road to Venice
The Great Dolomites Road stretches from Bolzano in the West to Cortina d'Ampezzo in the East and circumnavigates Piz Boe, one of the highest peaks in the Dolomites. From Cortina, you will head directly over Passo Falzarego, filled with dozens of hairpin turns, massive elevation changes, tunnels, and views. Next up is the trio of Campolongo, Gardena, and Sella which surround Piz Boe. Then, (our favorite) is Passo Fedaia, which crosses the northern base of Marmalada, the highest peak in the Dolomites, and skirts the scenic shores of Lago di Fedaia. Passo Staulanza and Passo Duran will lead you to the Cordevole River, which you will follow out of the mountains, and then cross the plains to Venice for your final night.

Day 4 - Explore Venice & Departure
Venice is one of the most exciting cities to visit in all of Europe. The canals and bridges, shopping streets, Michelin Star restaurants, beautiful architecture and interesting history are too much to fit into one or even two days! Because of this, we recommend adding a night or two on to the end of your tour before heading home.
