Our Lake Como & Bellagio Luxury Driving Tour takes you on a driving adventure through the majestic Swiss Alps and down to the beautiful resort of Tremezzo, set on the western shores of Lake Como. 

This 4-night luxury driving adventure includes 3 individual driving tours, each with its unique sights, landscapes, and charms. The first drive takes you south from Zurich and around the shoreline of the beautiful Lake Luzern, before heading through the high mountain passes of the Swiss Alps, and down to Lake Como. The second drive is a shorter half-day loop drive around Lake Como, where you get to visit the beautiful town of Bellagio and have lunch in one of the most luxurious Villas overlooking the lake.  The final drive back to Zurich takes you once again through the Alps, crossing over the spectacular San Bernadino Pass.

When staying on Lake Como, you do want to do it in style! For this reason, the package includes two nights at the prestigious 5-Star Superior Grand Hotel Tremezzo, set directly on the shores of the lake on the best spot directly overlooking the resort of Bellagio. Lake Como & Bellagio Luxury Driving Tour

Day 1 - Arrival in Zurich

Arrive at Zurich Airport, where you will be met and whisked to downtown Zurich via your limo transfer. Arrive at the Dolder Grand Hotel and Spa, where your roadbook and welcome pack will be waiting in your room. Your roadbook will include a recommended walking tour and places to visit and eat, along with local knowledge and insider tips. After check-in, we recommend taking the hotel's complementary transfer down to Zurich's beautiful town on either side of the Limmat River. Next, take a walk along the world-famous shopping street, Bahnhofstrasse, with its incredible collection of jewelry and designer stores. Continue to Lake Zurich, where you can stroll along the lakeside promenade.

Day 2 - Into the Swiss Alps

In the morning you will be met at your hotel for a briefing on the driving tours, and of course, a walk-through of your car and navigation, featuring all the best driving roads and pre-planned stops. You are now ready to hit the road in style! Your first drive will take you south to the scenic shores of Lake Luzern. You then trace the shores of the lake and continue into the heart of the Central Swiss Alps Andermatt where you will spend the night. Optionally, add about 2 hours of driving to your day with a loop of the "Big 3" Mountain passes of Furka, Grimsel and Susten.

Day 3 - Through the Swiss Alps to Lake Como

Leaving Andermatt, drive directly onto the sweeping Oberalp Pass (2033 m) before turning south onto Lukmanier Pass (1915 m) and across the Blenio Valley before reaching shores of the Lake Lugano. Head to your hotel set directly by Lake Como. (Note: In spring and late autumn, the first drive takes you via the Gotthard tunnel to Lugano and then to Lake Como, otherwise the rest of the tour remains the same).

Day 4 - Half-Day Loop of Lake Como

On Day 3, you will drive a beautiful half-day loop around Lake Como. In the morning, drive along the shoreline of the lake and then take the car ferry from Cadenabbia to the resort of Bellagio, where you can explore the town and also visit the 5 star Villa Serbelloni. Continue along the shores of Lake Como, and visit the village of Magreglio, dominated by its little church that is declared to be the patroness of cyclists. Head into the mountain roads behind the village, climbing to the viewpoint at Colma di Sormano, where there is a lovely observation deck with great views across the mountains and Alps to the north. After lunch near the summit, head back down to the lake shores, passing through the town of Como. Follow the shore of the lake to Lenno where you can visit the stunning Villa Balbianello, featured in movies 007 Casino Royale and Star Wars. Take a stroll in its impressive gardens before continuing back to your hotel.

Day 5 - Return to Zurich via San Bernardino Pass

Your final drive back to Zurich takes you from Como along the shores of Lake Lugano. Then, continue through Valley Mesolcina and its charming Italian villages before heading over the sweeping San Bernardino Pass, one of the best driving roads in Europe. After lunch in Switzerland, take the path of the Rhine River north. This particular stretch of road takes you past gorges and some spectacular rock formations created over millions of years by the river. Finally, complete the last stretch of the drive back to Zurich.

Day 6 - Final Day in Zurich

Spend the last day taking in the sights and attractions of Zurich, perhaps at one of the lakeside cafes with views all the way down to the Alps on a sunny day.
